Construction Process

From Concept to Completion

Embarking on a new construction or renovation project can be an exciting yet complex journey. At Kareela Constructions, we are dedicated to guiding you through each step of the process, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our clients in the Tamworth, Gunnedah and Narrabri regions. Our project timeline is divided into four key phases: Concept and Design; Planning and Approvals; Construction; and Handover and Occupation. Each phase has its unique tasks and milestones and our expert team works diligently to keep the project on track and meet your expectations.

We do things differently at Kareela where we are not price focused. Construction is a relationship between owners and the builder that can last almost a year from the initial consult. We ask you to fill out our questionnaire to help you to understand exactly what you want from your home so that we can create the correct package for you.

Your Project Timeline

Concept & Design

We start with a detailed questionnaire to assist us to get to know you and to help you narrow down what you want from your home. This way we both understand what you are after and we can put our best package forward to you.

Planning & Approvals

We submit preliminary plans to the local council or governing body for approval. Our team then works on detailed design development, including all technical specifications, engineering and structural designs. We also obtain all necessary permits and approvals for construction.

Construction

The construction phase begins with site preparation, including excavation, foundation laying and site grading. We proceed with framing, roofing and external finishes, followed by electrical and plumbing work. Interior finishes, such as drywall, flooring and painting, are completed before installing fixtures and appliances. Finally, we conduct an inspection and test all systems.

Handover & Occupation

We complete any remaining work and hand over the keys, transferring ownership to the client. We provide operating manuals and warranties for the new home and upon final payment, the project is officially closed.
